A pleasure to talk to!

Ben was such an amazingly kind and diligent interviewer. He did such a great job in preparing for this interview and took the time to make sure he had clarity on my story prior to the interview so that he could properly introduce my story and come with such insightful questions. I was so comfortable & had such a nice time throughout our conversation and felt very seen and heard. As we may fall farther from each other on the spectrum of disability, Ben still came with so much knowledge & was prepared to gain more from my perspective. I would definitely love to work with Ben again in the future. I feel like what he does with this podcast is truly important work, and I tip my hat to him for putting in the energy it takes to successfully run such an engaging & personal pod, while still managing to educate and in turn advocate. As someone who is almost 13 years into life as a disabled & chronically ill person, I tell my story often- especially when I am advocating for people like myself… this interview was very refreshing in that I didn’t feel like I was rehashing or repeating things - and that is a testament to Ben’s intuitive and efficient interview style. With a tapper like me he was able to guide me gently and make sure that I didn’t go too far off topic! Lol. I implore everyone to subscribe and support Ben and this pod, disabled people and able bodies alike, as anyone can join our club at anytime and even if someone never encounters it firsthand- there is a high chance they have a loved one who has had to navigate the world through the lens of disability.
