Beth Deer

Disability advocate

Beth has been a disability advocate since she lost her sight at 15. Originally from England, her move to Canada was made nearly a decade ago after meeting her now husband. Beths passion for advocay was truly ignited after receiving her first guide dog ‘patronus’ in 2018. The team got their first job at AMI TV the next year which lead to so many creative episodes of education, particularly surrounding guide dog awareness. Beth is striving for her independence as a guide dog user to be met with less barriers and for the general public to see the disability community as equals.
